Day off in DC

We just got back from Dinner in the city. Indian restaurant called Rasika…so good. We are staying about 15 miles outside of the city. So my frustration will soon come into focus. I get back to the hotel room, stuffed beyond belief and head on over to pollstar.com to see who might have played here today. FUCK ME, MGMT is literally on stage right now at The 9:30 club. No way I could get there and get in time as it is 11:30. I love their music. It is rare that you get to see bands you really like on a day off. I just wrote to them on myspace to communicate as much. First thought that entered my mind was, "do these guys even read this page?" A question many of you ask us often. Made me smile in the humblest sort of way.

Yes that is the question isn't it? Do you guys actually read our messages and comments? Comments I can understand not reading on myspace. Most of 'em are stupid apps now a days, or "happy holidays" or stupid random pictures of animals watching your sister in the shower...anywho...

But I think I found myself in a similar situation over this past year. [Well, besides being in an amazing band that's on tour and I did manage to see the band I wanted to see that night lolz.]

 I was getting ready for work [I worked at a ghetto movie theater] one day and I decided to get on the web and check smiths tix for any cool upcoming shows.

And Serj Tankian was on the home page reading, show tonight! I was like Whoa man! I totally need to see this crazy cat. He was playing at a small venue, and I figured the next time he came around it would be bigger. So thus, more people to fight against. I'm just a little dude, so fighting off fat people or tall drunk bastards is hard for me to do at the front lolz.

I spent an hour trying to get my shift covered, then another hour riding the bus downtown to SLC to see the Serj at In The Venue.
All in all it was great show. Can't say I've seen a happier performer.

But yeah, hope you swing by Salt Lake City, UT sometime this year man! You'll be welcomed warmly!

I just pimped on over to MGMT's myspace to see what you were on about, gotta say I'm a convert, gonna bomb out to the record store tomorrow and grab their album, Ill make sure to spread the word as I do about AD.

Acronyms are fun.

Oh and I kind of think half of the reason more people dont comment, may have something to do with the button system you have going, for those who read this, those grey buttons along the top of the site that appear to be a weird border are actually links to other areas of the site.
